Pres. Weah Congratulates India on 73rd Republic Day Celebration

President George Manneh Weah has sent a congratulatory message to the government and people of the Republic of India on the occasion commemorating the 73rd Republic Day of the Republic of India.

  In the message to H.E. Ram Nath Kovind, President of the Republic of India, President George Manneh Weah, on behalf of Liberia, extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the government and people of India as they celebrate this historic milestone.

   According to a Foreign Ministry release, the Liberian President expressed hope that, as Liberians join their Indian counterparts in observing this auspicious occasion, the bonds of friendship so happily subsisting between the two countries and peoples will continue to grow from strength to strength for the mutual benefits of the two countries.

   President George Manneh Weah also expressed confidence that both countries will continue to work together in furtherance of peace, security and global economic development within the context of the millennial development goals.

   The Liberian leader then prayed for H.E. President Ram Nath Kovind’s personal wellbeing as he continues to lead the people of India to a nobler height.
