Several citizens of Porkpa, electoral district #1, Grand Cape Mount County, have endorsed the representative bid of Bintu Massalay. Bintu Massalay is the daughter of influential business, Idrissa Massalay. The citizens announced their support to Massalay over the weekend at a well attended program.

The program, which brought together several citizens, predominantly women, was organized for the citizens to recognize the numerous contributions of Massalay to the women of Porkpa District, through her father, Idrissa Massalay. The women groups that endorsed the Representative bid of Massalay hail from Bamballa Town, Fornor Town, Bombor Town, Bitter Hill, Weajue Town, Lofa Bridge, Vai anyway Town, Mano River Congo,  amongst others.

Making separate statements of endorsement, the various groups announced their support to Massalay’s 2023 representative ambition due to her father’s unflinching support to women empowerment, through the provision of jobs for women of the district, donations of financial resources to several groups of the district, assisting families to meet domestic challenges, as well as making donations to farmers of the district. The hundreds of women from the various groups danced and poured praises on Massalay, whom they believed has influenced her father’s enormous support to women of the district. They vowed to support her in the 2023 representative election in electoral district #12, Grand Cape Mount County.

Responding to the endorsements from the citizens, Massalay thanked the women and welcomed their decision to support her legislative ambition. She assured the citizens that she will continue to work with her father to support the women and undertake developmental initiatives, aimed at improving the livelihood of the citizens.

Bintu Massalay is among several individuals eying the representative seat of electoral district #1, Grand Cape Mount County.
