Residents of Lower Johnsonville, Grassfied community, district #2, Monsterrado County, have alarmed over bad roads and other national development initiatives that are lacking in their community.
According to a press release issued by dwellers of the Lower Johnsonville community, there is a dire need for the Government of Liberia (GOL) to open the corridor of various roads within the Lower Johnsonville, Grassfied community belt.
The roads of concern connect to the Chicken Soup Factory, Bassa Town, Kpekpe Town and Wein Town communities.
The Lower Johnsonville residents noted that, as the government strives to connect various communities’ roads, their areas should not be forgotten.
At the same time, the dwellers of the Grassfied community commended President George Weah for his tireless effort in addressing the issue of road connectivity in the country.
Commenting on their community’s road status, the residents said students, pregnant women and elders find it difficult while on their way in and out of the area.
The community dwellers also called on the government to construct a community market for residents in the community. According to them, the lack of community market is creating serious problem for them due to the location of the community. They said dwellers leave early for Omega Market, and while returning criminals attack them and walk away with valuable items.
The concerned citizens of Lower Johnsonville concluded as saying that, if these concerns are looked into by the government, they strongly believe it will enhance economic viability, among other developments, in the country.
