As preparation gets underway around the country for the holding of election next year, a team has been formed to promote the political agenda of Sinoe County’s Aspirant, Y. Weagba Seeboe.

Seeboe is among several Sinoe citizens hoping to contest the county’s electoral district #3’s seat in the pending general and presidential elections in 2023.

Team Seeboe was sworn in at the weekend with Prince Teahjay as head of the group. Teahjay is from Tajiwon, an area with little support for the ascendency of Rev. Seeboe to the district’s seat.

The 18-member team is made up of refined technocrats specialized in the county’s tribal politics.

Working under a specialized structure, including the secretariat, treasury, press and propaganda, consultants and battle criers, the team will formulate strategies and ideas that will promote the aspirant’s agenda to the electorate.

Teahjay, who is also the son of the county’s celebrated politician and Senator, J. Milton Teahjay, and members of his team are expected to move into Sinoe soon to access the political climate in the county as the country moves to election next year.

Sinoe County’s 3rd electorate district is a potential flash point for election violence, as the Kru and Sapo ethnic groups are at each other’s throat every election period for the control of the district’s seat.

Meanwhile, in Monrovia Rev. Y. Weagba Seeboe has bagged several honor in recent time in appreciation of his stand in support of the voiceless people of Liberia, and for engaging into activities that help promote peace and tranquility in the country.

The Society for the Promotion of Peace, a credible pro-democracy group operating in Liberia, said in a letter to Rev. Seeboe before the honor that they are under obligation to recognize those who stand for truth, no matter under what circumstances.

Other organizations have made similar statements about the aspirant.
