Reports from Bong County say the Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Samuel D. Tweah, Jr., was involved in a motor accident on Sunday, November 27, 2022.
According to reports, Minister Tweah and entourage were on their way to Monrovia from Lofa County, where he had gone to serve as convocation speaker for the Lofa County Community College in Voinjama, Lofa County.
The Hot Pepper is informed that Minister Tweah was involved in the accident along with his wife and four others, and that the Minister was rushed to the C.B. Dunbar Hospital, Gbarnga, Bong County, while others were rushed to Phebe Hospital.
The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained, but individuals who spoke to the paper alleged that it is due to the bad road condition. They say the Minister’s car somersaulted on the dusty and rocky road.
