As a way of promoting the message of the Creator, God, several Baptist churches under the banner, Association of Independent Fundamental Baptist Church (AIFBC), recently celebrated their 27th annual conference at the Faith Baptist Church in Thinker Village, Paynesville.

The five-day annual conference hosted by AIFBC was held under the theme, “The Blessing of the Working Hand”, Thessalonians 4:11—12.

Over forty churches were in attendance and saw the conference as a gateway to unity amongst their members, as they forge ahead in promoting the Gospel of the Lord and Savior, which is demonstrated annually.

Speaking to journalists at the conference, the AIFBC President, Pastor Edward M. Yeah, encouraged Christians around the country, especially members, to become productive with their hands.

According to the AIFBC president, every member will know his or her role in contributing to the growth of the church physically and spiritually.

The clergyman noted, “The reason why some of our churches are static in growth is because their members cannot give a helping hand. And you want to give, but you cannot because you don’t have and you are not productive,” the preacher man stated.

Since his takeover as president of the conference, Pastor Yeah has prioritized unity amongst all fundamental Baptist churches.

Also, through his good leadership, the association has purchased a piece of land for center-point meeting during future conferences and programs, and has legalized its conferences with the Government of Liberia (GOL), the cleric asserted.

For his part, Rev. Dr. Lacque Vaye cautioned member churches to work harder in unity. “If the association is to grow so that God Word is preached to his people, it depends on us,” Reverend Vaye opined.

He entreated the church members to practice working with their hands in enabling the upliftment of the church. The preacher man lauded the members for their obedience to God during the five-day conference. “Only God can pay you,” he voiced.
