  • Justice Minister Frank Musah Dean
  • LNBA President Tiawon Gongloe

The President of the Liberia National Bar Association (LNBA), Cllr. Tiawon Gongloe, and the Minister of Justice, Cllr. Frank Musah Dean, stand accused of sponsoring a series of propagandas directed at the Magistrate of Kakata Magisterial Court, Duncan; Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel F. McGill; President Pro Tempore of the Liberian Senate, Albert T. Chie; Secretary of the Liberian Senate, Nanborlor Singbeh; Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, His Honor Yussif Kaba; and the Judge of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Court, Sanniquellie, Nimba County, Cllr. Roland F. Dahn.

According to information received from Senate Secretary Singbeh, Cllr. Gongloe and Minister Dean recently sponsored a “fake” media publication against him, captioned, “Montserrado County Attorney, Cllr. Edwin Martin Orders Senate Secretary to Beat Journalist”, and that they have been allegedly hacking the cellphone conversations of the mentioned government officials.

Singbeh alleged that they have been doing all this to obtain any iota of information that would give them advantage in the case “Republic of Liberia by and thru the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Liberia versus Hans Armstrong and Vacian Kyncl” for the crimes of theft of property and forgery committed in June 2017 against MHM EKO Liberia Incorporated.

Nanborlor Singbeh is the President/CEO of the MHM EKO Liberia, Incorporated.

Senate Secretary, Nanborlor Singbeh

According to him, “When a ruling on the Motion to Rescind, filed by the President of LNBA, was denied by Resident Circuit Judge of the 8th Judicial Circuit in Sanniquellie, Nimba County, Cllr. Roland F. Dahn, on October 23, 2020, Cllr. Gongloe, in his quest to undermine his kinsman and the integrity of the Judiciary, and in cohort with Justice Minister Dean, sponsored and entertained the hacking of cellphones of judges and other top government officials, including Magistrate Duncan of the Kakata Magisterial Court, Nathaniel F. McGill, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs; Senator Albert T. Chie, President Pro Tempore of the Liberian Senate; Hon. Nanborlor Singbeh, Secretary of the Liberian Senate; Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, His Honor Yussif Kaba and most recently, Cllr. Roland F. Dahn of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Court in Sanniquellie, Nimba County by Indicted Norwegian and self-proclaimed British national, Hans Armstrong, a long-time client and business partner of Minister Dean, accusing those named of constantly being in conversation with the Secretary of the Senate, Nanborlor Singbeh, of which Mr. Armstrong boasts of having in his possession Call-log data from Lone Star MTN and Orange Liberia to substantiate his claims.”

He alleged, “The propaganda machinery of the Daily Observer, Reporter Abednego Davis, wrote in the banner headline of the October 26, 2020 edition, ‘Judge Dahn Exposed in US$650K Case’, wherein Journalist Davis lied to the reading public that Judge Dahn ‘will shortly appear before the Judiciary Inquiry Commission of the Supreme Court to face investigation’.  The fact of the matter is that at no time did Court records from the Eighth Judicial Circuit Court carry or mention the amount of US$650,000 as reported by Reporter Davis according to Court documents in our possession.”

He claimed that journalist Davis, under the sponsorship of Justice Minister Dean and LNBA’s President, Cllr. Gongloe, whose sister is a senatorial candidate for Nimba County in the ensuing December 8 election, deceived the public that there were “purported legal matters before the Supreme Court”, writing a story captioned, “Supreme Court Questions CDC’s Meddling in NPP’s Political Affairs” in the paper’s September 29, 2020 edition; “Supreme Court Decides Fate of By-Election Today” in its October 20, 2020 edition; and “Will ‘Messy’ Voter Roll Be Cleaned For Dec. 2020 Senatorial Election?” in its October 22, 2020 edition.

“But as the saying goes, ‘ninety- nine days for rogue and one day for master’, the Supreme Court termed the Daily Observer’s publication of purported legal matters before the Supreme Court as misleading, unprofessional, and malicious,” Singbeh claimed.

In a judicial press release, issued October 23, 2020, the Director of the Judicial Public Information, Atty. Darryl Ambrose Nmah, described the publications of the Daily Observer as “absolutely having no iota of truth and not only intended to misinform and mislead the public, but also a malicious and calculated attempt by Reporter Abednego Davis and the Daily Observer to incite the people of Liberia, especially party-interests in the political process of our country, against the Supreme Court of Liberia and the Judiciary in general”. Investigation continues.
