Samuel Jackson, a strong supporter of the CDC-led government, says people should not blame the current administration for the poor economy or constraints faced by Liberians at home. Jackson said President George  Weah inherited the poor economy from the previous administration of the Liberian government.

According to him, in fact Liberia was not founded in the proper way, like other countries in the African belt. He said Liberia was founded by a donor organization.

His statement is from the backdrop that some members from the opposition groups are carrying lies that the Weah administration met a lot of money, contrary to their views.

Jackson noted that during former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf administration funding came from abroad to support the governing system at the time, but that this administration depends on domestic taxes collected from home.

According to him, no opposition party or parties will change the country’s economy from what it is to a better level.

He said President Weah has done well with the little resources collected by his government. “Weah has done his part, do yours,” he stated.

Jackson made the statement during an interview with the Hot Pepper.
