Marshall University, a public research university in Huntington, West Virginia, was founded in 1837 and is named after John Marshall, the fourth Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court.

Woart, said his university has a goal to enhance public health education and research in Liberia through the AME Zion University.

According Dr Woart, AME Zion University is well placed for the program due to its strategic academic programs and the new direction the university has taken. He assured the public that Marshall University will do everything within it powers to assist AME Zion University though the implementation of the MOU.

For his part, the Chairman of the Transitional Team of AME Zion University, Dr Nathaniel B. Walker, thanked Dr. Woart and authorities of Marshall University for the decision to collaborate with his university.

Dr. Walker, who is also a senior member of the Board of Trustees of AME Zion University, assured Dr. Woart and the Marshall University family of AME Zion University’s readiness to implement the MOU.

In brief remarks, the president-elect of AME Zion University, Dr. Emmanuel F. Johnson, I, noted that the signing of the MOU could not have come at a better time. According to Dr Johnson, the MOU is in line with his vision of research and development, especially during these crucial moments of the university.
