Lutheran School System Signs 5-Year Contract With MWETANA

The Lutheran School System on September 14, 20223 signed a 5-year contract with MWETANA Consulting & Technology Group to provide its school’s management with the software solution, SchooLink.

   The 5-year contract is to deploy the software in 27 schools operated and managed by the Lutheran School System.

   Some of the features include student management, automatic ID number generation, student billing and student class placement; financial management, payment tracking, payment receipt, payment reversal and dual currencies; Teacher gradebook, imputation of grades, change of grades, grades approval and backlog grades; parent module, student grade online access, real time notification, access to student profile; and online platform, unlimited student access, unlimited teacher access, dedicated platform.

   The system will be deployed in five counties: Montserrado, Nimba, Margibi, Bong and Lofa, and will store over 7,000 students’ record for the period of the contract.

   This is the first and the largest school system project signed in Liberia.

   Speaking at the event, MWETANA Founder and CEO, Vivien C. Jones, stated that this was part of his vision during the formation of the company as he looks forward to helping more schools transition from manual process to a fully digital process. Jones used the occasion to inform the public that MWETANA will host its first SchooLink Annual Conference on September 15, 2023. The conference will bring together a total of 155 schools that are using MWETANA SchooLink in Liberia.
