Montserrado County’s district #10 Representative, Yekeh Kolubah, says the Global Magnitsky designation of the Mayor of Monrovia, Jefferson Tamba Koijee, is belated, warning that if the international community is doing it to suppress the opposition during the Boakai administration they are mistaking.

Speaking during a press conference over the weekend, Kolubah vowed to remain an opposition and not to compromise his advocacy with President-elect Joseph Boakai. He said he will remain robust in the Boakai-Koung administration, claiming that his relationship with the Unity Party Standard Bearer is terminated.

“I, Yekeh Kolubah, distance myself from the Unity Party and I’m breaking any family lineage between me and that of the President-elect Joseph Boakai and Jeremiah Koung. My reason is based upon fostering the interest of the majority in order to promote transparent and balanced government,” Representative Kolubah disclosed.

According to him, it is time for the Liberian people to have a complete thought of the happenings in the National Legislature.

Meanwhile the lawmaker also declined his quest for the Speakership of the 55th National Legislature and endorsed the candidacy of Musa Hassan Bility.
