The Bishop of the Bible Way Church of Liberia, Aloysius N. Nimely Sr., has urged Liberians to do away with gossiping and backbiting, and put their differences aside and embrace one another for the betterment of the society.
Bishop Nimely said, for development to be achieved, it will depend on the decision that Liberians make. He made the statement on Sunday at the Guiding Star Temple of the Bible Church during the official opening of the church’s 68th Annual Convention, held under the theme, “Your Future depends on your Decision”, Esther 4:11 and Daniel 3:13–18.
He said he has the confidence of the total involvement and participation of delegates to the convention. He disclosed that the convention brought together more than 400 delegates from 13 of the 15 counties of Liberia and two foreign delegates from the United States of America: Apostle Michael J. Rogers and Bishop Brain Collins.
The clergyman urged delegates to put aside their differences and plan activities that will promote spiritual, moral and financial growth of the church.
Meanwhile, the opening sermon of the convention was delivered by the Bishop of the Ebenezer Don Steward Pentecostal Church, Torgbor Dixon. Bishop Dixon said after the election Liberians should work out development plans that will promote peace, unity and reconciliation in the interest of the nation and its people.
