Representative Alex S. Noah of Sinoe County’s district #3 has said that the Unity Party-led government, headed by President Joseph N. Boakai, has been proceeding wrongly since taking over the leadership of the country by unlawfully dismissing innocent Liberians from a number of government ministries and agencies for no tangible reason.

The CDC lawmaker informed the public that it is a wrong thing for a government to take office and immediately begin to dismiss innocent citizens. According to him, since the beginning of the history of Liberia the Boakai-led government is the only administration that has dismissed these many Liberians.

Representative Noah made the statement on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 when he appeared on the OK FM afternoon show in Monrovia.

The Sinoe County lawmaker emphasized that, by this government taking office and immediately taking Liberians out of jobs indicates that it is not in the interest of the Liberian people.

Representative Noah stated that since he won the election he has been working in the interest of his people at the House of Representatives. The CDC lawmaker informed the public that he went to the Capitol Building to serve, and not for self-enrichment.

The Sinoe County lawmaker disclosed that he has already started fulfilling some of the promises made to his people during the elections: within six months’ time he has provided to his Sinoe women L$5 million as revering fund, without any interest payment. According to him, this was one of the promises he made to his people during the election.

He explained that after the election he went back to his people to express appreciation to them for his election. The lawmaker said he also went back to the county to revisit projects he started and completed during the campaign, and those he did not complete.

Already, the lawmaker has stated the construction of a multi-purpose office in the district, which is the first of it kind in the history of Sinoe County. The lawmaker stated that, upon completion of the multi-purpose building, every organization in the district will have an office. The CDC lawmaker added that he means well for the citizens of Sinoe County.

Representative Noah voiced out that recently he was in Ethiopia attending a legislative functionary, where he was opportune to meet an investor who has expressed interest of investing in his county. According to him, if this materializes his people and the country stand to benefit from job opportunities. Representative Noah further disclosed that his office is focused on opening vocational schools in the county. The lawmaker said he has also made intervention in the health sector of the district by purchasing an ambulance.

Eleven individuals contested against Representative Noah but were defeated in the legislative election. Representative Noah is the former Port Manager of Greenville Port, Sinoe County.
