–Rev. Dr. Gbelley Calls For Unity

The First Assembly of God Church (FAGC) on Sunday, July 21, 2024 celebrated the 64th anniversary of its national leadership in Monrovia.

Speaking at the celebration, the Senior Pastor of FAGC, Rev. Dr. Edwin A. Gbelley, called on the Unity Party government to unite the Liberian people rather than create division.

Rev. Gbelley stated that after election the government should be able to bring the Liberian people together in order to move the socio-economic development of the people and nation forward.

According to him, when government officials have confusion among themselves it does not represent a system of good governance in the country.

He underscored that President Joseph Nyuma Boakai should be able to unite Liberians from all walks of life to ensure the country is transformed for the better.

Rev. Gbelley pointed out that FAGC will undertake a major renovation of its edifice at Buchanan Street, and that the church is embarking on serious evangelism and training for the young people.

Earlier, the Senior Pastor of the Bathesda Assembly of God Church at 72nd SKD Boulevard, Rev. J. Quieeyato Korkor Sr., challenged Liberians to seek God’s revival in their lives. Pastor Korkor stated that seeking the face of God through prayer will go a long way in God restoring the nation and the people.

He emphasized that the revival of the church will empower the pastors to speak truth to the national leadership of the country, and not compromise their stand on national issues affecting the people and the nation.

He noted that some Liberians are not devoting their lives to worshipping and praying to God, which make it difficult to see the working of God in their endeavors.

Pastor Korkor emphasized that Liberians should be devoted to the Word of God, which is able to revive the social and economic situations confronting the nation.

The Bathesda Pastor maintained that Liberians should prioritized worship and prayer, which are critical to experiencing God’s transformation in their lives.
