Liberian Youth Foundation Names Computer Lab In Honor Of Dr. Weeks

Inside Liberian Youth Foundation Computer Laboratory

Liberian Youth Foundation, one of the leading vocational training Center operating inside Bassa Town Community, Redlight, outside of Monrovia, over the weekend dedicated its modern laboratory in honor of Dr. Kimmie Weeks, a young Liberian.

   Abdurahman I. A Fofana, Executive Director of the Liberian Youth Foundation, praised Dr. Weeks for his tireless contributions toward the wellbeing of the foundation.

   The Liberian Youth Foundation Computer Laboratory, which was named in honor of Dr. Weeks, is called “Dr. Kimmie Weeks Computer and Innovation Lab”, and will serve as a vocational training hub for young people in Liberia.

   The Dr. Kimmie Weeks Computer and Innovation Lab will provide scholarship to deserving young people in diver’s field of studies in the country. Dr. Weeks, since the formation of the Liberian Youth Foundation, has been providing support for the sustainability of the foundation for years now.

   Since the Liberian Youth Foundation’s establishment in 2013, it has impacted thousands lives of young people across the country. It provides affordable fees for acquiring skills in driving, decoration, catering, tailoring, hair dressing, among others, to the public. Its mission is to address some of the challenges confronting the young people of Liberia.

   For his part, Dr. Kimmie Weeks promised to provide more support for the operation of the Liberian Youth Foundation.

   Moses Zangar, Public Engagement Specialist, United States Embassy, promised the US government’s support to the Liberian Youth Foundation’s youth empowerment initiatives.

   The dedicatory ceremony, held over the weekend, was well attended by residents of the Bassa Town community, students, and staff.
