The management of Bea Mountain Mining Corporation has commenced the distribution of rice and other assorted food items to several vulnerable women within its concession areas.

On Thursday, December 12, 2024, BMMC, through its Community Relations Department, began the distribution of over 200 packages to some women in the affected communities. The rice distribution by the company targets communities as Kinjor, Jenneh Brown, Jawajeh Marvoh, Jikandor, Malina, Korma Weija, Tahn, and Weajue.

The packages include rice, milk, sugar and assorted cooking materials such as onions, oil, salt and vita.
Speaking during the rice distribution, Hawa Massaquoi, Community Relations Gender Officer, said the distribution of the rice and other food items is intended to put smiles on the faces of the vulnerable women during the Christmas season.

According to Hawa Massaquoi, BMMC’s management is still thinking about the older women, especially those who cannot afford economically, and also those who can no longer carry on their farming activities.
CR Gender Officer Massaquoi stated that Bea Mountain is grateful for the peaceful and cordial working relationship with citizens of its affected communities.

After receiving the rice and assorted food items from BMMC, the vulnerable women from the affected communities were seen with smiles on their faces as they thanked BMMC for always identifying with them during difficult times.
