LACC Confiscates Vehicles Purchased By Suspended NOCAL Boss
The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) has taken possession of two vehicles purchased by the suspended President/CEO of the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL), Rustolyn Suacoco Dennis, which are at the center of a corruption scandal.
According to information, Dennis had gone to the LACC, along with her lawyer, to honor an invitation regarding the investigation initiated into the allegations of financial improprieties and acts of corruption. She was reportedly ordered to turn over the vehicles to NOCAL upon her leaving the LACC compound.
However, it was reported that she and her lawyer, instead of taking the vehicles directly to NOCAL, made a detour and went to the lawyer’s office, which was not the agreed transportation plan for the vehicles between her and the LACC.
Following the diversion, the suspended NOCAL boss was ordered to return the vehicles to the LACC, where they were parked up to press time. Investigation continues.
