Candidate nomination for the 2025 senatorial by-election in Nimba County officially ends today, Friday March 14, 2025 at the National Election Commission’s headquarters, 9th Street, Sinkor.
According to a NEC press release, accreditation exercise for party agents, local and international observers and the media will also end today, March 14, 2025; therefore, all chairpersons, and secretaries general or any authorized executive member of political parties have been urged to pick-up nomination packages for aspirants contesting the election.
NEC announced that independent aspirant must appear in person before the end of day to pick-up his/her nomination package or send an authorized person at the Commission in Sinkor.
The NEC observed that the nomination and accreditation exercises are in line with its key dates released for the Nimba County senatorial by-election, slated for April 22, 2025, and warned that there will be absolutely no extension of deadline for both exercises.
