The management of East International Group has categorically rejected the Saturday, August 23, 2025 edition of the Shine Liberia online platform, alleging that the yellow machine used by the Liberia National Police (LNP) for the demolition of the headquarters of the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) belongs to the company.

“We call on Shine Liberia to do the honorable thing by retracting this malicious report, which has the propensity to tarnish our hard-errand reputation as a business institution,” East International stated.

According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of East International Group, Cao Yun Feng, “All logistics of East International are duly marked, and cannot be used in or for any activities other than construction works.  Our lawyers have been informed about this malicious report, and options are on the table if Shine Liberia does not act in the principles of good journalism by retracting its unfounded story, in adherence to the ABC of journalism.

“East International is a reputable business institution, and will not allow its name to be dragged in an unfounded political ploy.”

It may be recalled that Shine Liberia, in its Saturday coverage of the demolition of the CDC headquarters alleged that the yellow machine used in the demolition exercise of the CDC headquarters belongs to East International, thereby betraying the former ruling party.

However, the CEO of East International has clarified, “Let it be known that East International Group is not owned by Senator Nathaniel McGill or any former government official as being speculated, but by local and international private entrepreneurs.”
