The Ministry of Health has bid farewell to another cohort of seventeen (17) Liberian nurses who have departed the country for a two-year specialized training program at the Kenyatta National Hospital School of Nursing in Nairobi, Kenya.

The training program is sponsored by the Ministry of Health through the World Bank funded Institutional Foundations to Improve Services for Health (IFISH) Project and the Health Security Project (HeSP).

The seventeen nurses, selected from public health facilities across the country, will pursue advanced studies in critical areas of health, including oncology nursing, trauma and emergency nursing, critical care nursing, neonatal nursing, and nephrology nursing.

Upon completion of their studies, the nurses are expected to return home and contribute to the enhancement of specialized healthcare services, further supporting the ministry’s on-going efforts in ensuring access to quality and resilient healthcare for all Liberians and residents.
