The Bukonjadeh Group of Companies has donated L$100,000 to support Sinoe County in the on-going county sports meet.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of the Bukonjadeh Group of Companies, Elton Johns, the donation is intended to identify with Sinoe County in the county sports meet in order to prepare the team for its second match in the tournament.
The L$100,000 check was presented to the Chairperson of the Steering Committee of Sinoe County teams, Dennis Grandpa Jarpah, on Monday in Monrovia.
Johns promised that if the team wins its second game, Bukonjadeh will contribute another L$100,000.
He maintained that if the team qualifies to the grand finales in Monrovia, Bukonjadeh will provide L$1 million to boost its chances of winning the tournament.
According to him, it is now time for all Sinoians to rally around the team, morally and financially, to keep it going in the county meet to bring victory to Sinoe County.
Johns said the spirit of the county meet should bring together every Sinoian, whether home or abroad, to support the team to make the county proud.
Receiving the check, Jarpah expressed thanks and appreciation to the Bukonjadeh Group of Companies for intervening at a time when there is no financial support for the team in the on-going county sports meet.
He noted that Sinoe County’s lost to Nimba County was due to fatigue as a result of the team traveling to Nimba County by road, which was a bit difficult for them.
He noted that the team needs to be motivated through financial and moral support from citizens, especially those in authorities at the local and national levels, to encourage the players to do well in the tournament.
Chairperson Jarpah emphasized that it is difficult to maintain the team on camp without adequate financial support. He assured the management of the Bukonjadeh Group of Companies that Sinoe County team will qualify to come to town.
