The Chief of Office Staff (COS) in the Office of Representative Jerry K.  Yogboh, Representative, district #12, Montserrado County, Jeremiah Edison Paye, has resigned after two years of service due to the lawmaker’s alleged failure to prioritize the fulfillment of his campaign promises to the people of the district.

Speaking to the press on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, Paye expressed disappointment in Representative Yogboh’s leadership and failure to provide adequate representation on behalf of the district’s people.  The former COS provided 20 reasons why he resigned, highlighting Representative Yogboh’s alleged failure to listen, act and make interventions on issues affecting the district’s citizens.

Paye named Representative Yogboh’s un-consultative and unilateral membership with the Citizens Movement for Change (CMC); abandonment of the district during constituency breaks, lack of transparency in the use of the district’s legislative funds for 2025, broken relationships with stakeholders in the district, and the lawmaker’s failure to fulfill his promises to individual constituents and institutions in the district.

Further providing reasons for his resignation, Paye said he resigned in protection of his integrity and principles to do what is right. The National Secretary General of MOVEE said Representative Yogboh has rendered his consistent engagements with him to deliver on his commitments as antagonism, hostility and opposition, something he said placed his security at risk.

In conclusion, Paye announced that he will begin consultations across the district for grassroots representation in 2029.
