A Liberian Author, Rev. Kenety Gee, has launched a book, “Generational Shift Book”. The ceremony was held at the auditorium of the University of Liberia.

Speaking Thursday at the launching ceremony, the Ambassador-at-large in the office of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Ora Richards, said the book is critical towards the growth and development of the nation.

Ambassador Richards stated that it is time for Liberians to think outside the box to ensure that Liberia is transformed for the better.

She noted that Liberia’s development and progress will not be achieved if Liberians do not change their mindset towards commitment to do positive things.

She indicated that the book will inspire Liberians to change their attitudes towards improving their living standard and the progress of the nation. She pointed out that Liberians should strive for independence rather than always seeking assistance from others.

Ambassador Richards observed that the book is unique toward shifting innovations and creativities of young Liberians to change their attitudes in building a better Liberia.

Earlier, the author of the book, Rev. Gee, said the book is intended to shape the mindset of Africans to improve the standard of living in Africa.

Rev. Gee lamented that with all the natural resources on the African Continent the people continue to live in poverty, and this should be curtailed. He disclosed that Africans, especially Liberians, should use their brains wisely through innovation and creativity to build a great nation.

He noted that the brain, which is the greatest resource that God has given to the human race, is not being used by Africans to innovate or invent things despite the natural resources on the continent.

Rev. Gee emphasized that the book will help to encourage Liberians and others to think positively to transform Liberia for the better. He explained that God created the human race uniquely, and the black race should not be inferior to others but use their brain effectively to change situation.

The launching ceremony brought together students and administrators of the University of Liberia, as well as dignitaries and the media.
