The Inspector General of the Liberia National Police (LNP), Col. Gregory Coleman, has been formally designated for appointment as Co-Chair of the International Affairs Committee of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), one of the most respected law enforcement leadership organizations in the United States and internationally.

The appointment, which will be formally conferred during NOBLE’s 50th Anniversary Celebration and Annual Training Conference in Dallas, Texas, in July 2026, was communicated by in-coming National President Mitchell R. Davis III in official correspondence dated May 4, 2026.

According to the communication, Inspector General Coleman’s appointment reflects international recognition of his leadership, experience in modern policing, and longstanding contributions to public safety, international cooperation, and institutional reform. NOBLE further emphasized that his role will help strengthen bilateral and multilateral law enforcement partnerships, particularly between the United States and Liberia, while advancing collaboration against increasingly transnational and borderless security threats.

The conference, themed, “Forged in Struggle, Empowered by Strength, Defining Our Future: Shaping Law Enforcement’s Next Chapter”, will convene law enforcement executives, security experts, policymakers, and criminal justice professionals from across the world to discuss emerging policing challenges, innovation, accountability, and international security cooperation.

The Liberia National Police (LNP) said they view this appointment as a significant honor not only for the institution, but also for the Republic of Liberia, as it reinforces Liberia’s growing contribution to global conversations on democratic policing, rule of law, professional standards, and international security collaboration.

The LNP said it remains committed to strengthening international partnerships, advancing professional policing standards, and promoting cooperative approaches to addressing transnational organized crime, cyber threats, narcotics trafficking, human trafficking, violent extremism, and other evolving security challenges confronting the global community.
