On Monday, May 12, 2025, at a pre-inaugural press conference of the unveiling of Orange Icon 16—the company’s newly constructed headquarters, Orange Liberia offered members of the public and the media a sneak-peek of glance into the exciting new facility ahead of the main inaugural event slated for Thursday, May 15, 2025.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Orange Liberia, Jean Marius Yao, speaking at the occasion, quoted Eleanor Roosevelt’s famous saying, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” He said the building is the embodiment of a vision—their belief in the future of Liberia. “Today, under the theme, ‘This is Home. The Future is Here,’ we celebrate progress, people, and purpose,” he noted.
He said the vision behind Icon 16 is a fundamental question many have asked: Why build this new headquarters? “My answer is rooted in three powerful reasons: first, Icon16 is a symbol—a bold statement that Liberia deserves and can host infrastructure of the highest international standards; second, Orange Icon16 reflects our unwavering commitment to being a long-term partner in Liberia’s development. It is fully aligned with Orange Liberia’s vision and with Orange Group’s ambition across Africa to lead in digital transformation, promote sustainable innovation, and ensure inclusive growth that leaves no one behind; and third, we continue to invest heavily in our network platforms, and infrastructure at Orange Liberia, we know that people are the true drivers of progress. Our employees and our customers are our greatest assets.”
According to him, Orange Icon16 is a source of national pride—a place that says to every Liberian: “Yes, it’s possible”.
Speaking during a press conference held at the headquarters in Sinkor on Monday, May 12, 2025, CEO Yao averred that Orange Icon16 was created as a world-class hub for collaboration, innovation, and growth. “It is a space designed to uplift the well-being of our teams our value creators and to deliver extraordinary experiences for our customers and it goes beyond connectivity. With the largest, most accessible Smart Store in the country, Icon16 is the embodiment of our customer-obsessed culture,” he observed.
He said, “Orange Liberia don’t just offer services but also deliver experiences and space for Innovation and People now, let me share what makes Icon16 not just impressive, but purposeful.
