The Alliance Motor Corporation, one of Liberia’s dependable dealers in brand new vehicles, has received a two-man delegation from TATA Motor, one of the world’s leading multinational automotive companies headquartered in Mumbai. The team is in Monrovia for two-day business discussion.

The two-man delegation from TATA Motors are Vijay Singh Rathore, Deputy General Manager, and Vivek Saraswat of TATA Africa based in the Ivory Coast. The delegation is in the country to pave the way for a dealership agreement between Alliance Motor Corporation and TATA Motors.

The visiting TATA Motors officials were opportune, along with their Liberia counterpart, the Alliance Motor headed by its Managing Director, George E. Haddad, to pay a courtesy call on the Minister of Transport, Sirleaf Tyler.

The visit of TATA Motor’s officials in Liberia for the purpose of establishing a dealership agreement with Alliance Motor Corporation signifies that the Boakai/Koung led government is on the right trajectory for serious business, which has given confidence to international investors to come to Liberia.

TATA Motors was established 150 years ago, and is a leading global automobile manufacturing company with diverse portfolio, including an extensive range of cars, sporting utility vehicles, buses, trucks, vans, pick-ups and defense vehicles. Its operations are in several countries, including India, the UK, South Korea, South Africa, China, Brazil, Austria and Slovakia through a strong global network of subsidiaries, associate companies and Joint Ventures (JVs), including Jaguar, Land Rover in the UK and Tata Daewoo in South Korea.

With the arrival of the multi-million dollar company TATA Motors Corporation Liberians can be assured of the influx of more international investors under the UP-led government.
