Alleged Harry Greaves Killers Go After Eyewitnesses

A group of men believed to be members of the gang that murdered the Liberia Petroleum Refining Corporation (LPRC) former Managing Director, Harry Greaves, are reportedly going after eyewitnesses who were present when the incident occurred.

One Adella and her aunt, Maude Elliot, claimed they were at the scene when the managing director was escorted by three men dressed in long coat, and allegedly murdered.

Since the gruesome incident, Adella has reportedly not seen peace in her life, as the gang continues to pursue her wherever she goes in the desperate attempt to destroy evidence.

Explaining her ordeal in a telephone conversation with the Hot Pepper, the witness said strange men are constantly asking for her in the community and work place, creating enormous fear in her for her life.

Adella emphasized that she became more frightened when her aunt, with whom she witnessed the brutal murder, was found dead after months of threat against her life.

The eyewitness to Greave’s killing indicated that her aunt, an employee of the Liberia Immigration Services (LIS) was murdered in cold blood, with the same aim of covering up the truth.

She explained that she and her family are presently in hiding to escape the murderer, after a series of complaints to the police failed to ensure her protection.

Speaking further, Adella said that the three men who led the ex-LPRC managing director to the beach first demanded that Greaves surrender the bag he was carrying.

She explained that when Greaves refused to comply with their request, the assailants jumped on him in a scuffle that lasted for almost hours before he was finally overcome and killed.

Adella pointed out that, from where she and her aunt where standing, they could see the three men hurriedly escaping the scene with the black bag taken from the victim in their hands.

The witness said she was so frightened by the ugly killing that she lost complete control of her entire body. She is therefore appealing to the national security apparatus to help protect her and her family from the allege killers. Investigation continues.
