Amb. Milici: “Prosperity Hangs Over Liberia”

Following a series of assessment regarding the potential of Liberia’s growth and economic development, Ambassador-at-Large to Rome, Italy, H.E. Riccardo Milici, says prosperity is hanging over Liberia.

Speaking to newsmen over the weekend at his private resort in Monrovia, ambassador Milici emphasized the need for concerted effort by the George M. Weah administration to work collectively to achieve a worthy cause. He indicated that the Liberia has all it takes to make a great country.

Explaining further, Ambassador Milici lamented that there are many great areas that Liberia can regain its status in the comity of nations.

Ambassador Milici named tourism, agriculture, infrastructure, mining and railways among achievable projects under the Weah administration. According to him, the time has come for him to work closely with the Weah administration to attract investment opportunities, in order to provide jobs for the people of Liberia.

He maintained that once there is collective effort on the part of the administration, Liberians will begin to smile again.

Ambassador Milici noted that he has been reaching out to schools, churches and mosques—identifying with them through humanitarian assistances. He noted that schools in Montserrado and Grand Bassa counties have benefitted from his gesture.

In addition to the schools, he said he has reached out to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, and also identified with some deaf and dumb children. He said he later proceeded to the Monrovia City Corporation (MCC) and donated to them electric pistols, pepper sprays and nose masks.

Ambassador Milici continued that, even at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs he donated drugs and anti-malaria equipments to its clinic. According to him, he also donated bags of cement to the Grand Bassa Cathedral Church for the construction of its project.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Milici has disclosed that he has begun to explore avenues for more investors to come to Liberia because, according to him, there are many investors out there who do not know the favorite business climate Liberia has.
