The Association of National Olympic Committee of Africa (ANOCA) on Monday, December 13, 2021 appointed two officials of the Liberia National Olympic Committee (LNOC) to two strategic committees for the benefit of the entire African sports movement.
The two officials appointed were Mr. Philipbert S. Browne, LNOC President, and Fredrick Pratt, LNOC Secretary General. President Browne was appointed to serve on ANOCA Communication and Information Commission. Also, Pratt was appointed to serve on ANOCA Culture and Education Commission.
The appointments, which take effect immediately, are valid until 2024.
“Dear Philipbert, Dear friend; the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa extends its greatest appreciation to your great contribution in serving African sports. I am further glad to convey to you that you have been appointed as a member of the ANOCA Communication and Information Commission for 2021—2024. You would be working alongside the Chairperson, Mr. Mustapha Berraf,” portion of the ANOCA letter to Mr. Browne, signed by President Mustapha Berraf and Secretary General Ahmed Abou Elgasim Hashim, read.
In separate interviews with the Hot Pepper yesterday, Mr. Browne and Pratt acknowledged their acceptance of the appointments and commended ANOCA President, Berraf, for entrusting them with the responsibilities.
