President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has made a firm declaration that his administration will remain unwavering in its commitment to religious tolerance, equal opportunities, and national unity.
Speaking at an Iftar dinner hosted at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo Town on Tuesday evening, March 25, 2025, the Liberian leader emphasized that Liberia’s diversity in faith and culture must be a pillar of strength, not division.

“Liberia is a land of diverse faiths and cultures, but we are one people, bound by a common destiny.
In upholding this sanguine atmosphere of harmony, my administration remains firmly committed to fostering religious tolerance, ensuring equal opportunities for all, and strengthening the bonds that unite us as Liberians,” President Boakai declared.

The event, held in observance of the holy month of Ramadan, brought together Muslim clerics, government officials, and members of the media in a spirit of reflection and national cohesion.
The President acknowledged the immense contributions of Liberia’s Muslim community and called for continued collaboration in building a more inclusive society.

“This sacred month teaches us the power of empathy and generosity, reminding us of our duty to care for the less fortunate. It accordingly remains the prayerful hope of this nation that the spirit of Ramadan continues to inspire us to work together in peace and solidarity for the betterment of our beloved country,” he stated.

Liberia has long been a beacon of religious tolerance in the region, with Christians and Muslims coexisting peacefully.

However, President Boakai stressed that sustaining this unity requires deliberate efforts from both the government and its citizens.

He assured the Muslim community that his administration will champion policies that create equal opportunities for all, regardless of faith.

“May Allah, the Almighty, accept your fast, your prayers, and your good deeds, lending great dividends to the forward march of our Republic. May Allah bless Liberia,” he declared.
