In an effort to ensure an improved road network in Western Liberia, especially Grand Cape Mount County, Bea Mountain Mining Corporation (BMMC) has embarked on the rehabilitation of major roads across the county.
Among several local roads, BMMC is currently carrying out asphalt pavement on the Kinjor to Daniel Town Road.
The company earlier rehabilitated the Kinjor to Jenneh Brown, M’baloma to Lofa Bridge and Lofa Bridge to Gold Camp Roads, among others.
The roads, when completed, will address the issue of huge transportation cost from the county to Monrovia, and also boost economic activities in the area.
The Management of Bea Mountain Mining Corporation, through the leadership of its General Manager, Reza Karimiyan, has expressed commitment to the people of Liberia in buttressing the effort of the government through its many developmental activities.
Meanwhile, citizens living along the Kinjor to Daniel Town Highway have lauded the management of Bea Mountain Mining Corporation (BMMC) and expressed excitement over the road rehabilitation process.
In a recent interview with reporters in the county, the citizens said the completion of the road projects, especially ahead of the rainy season, will give them easy access to Monrovia and other parts of the country.
The Grand Cape Mount County citizens, who were seen in a jubilant mode, said the timely intervention by Bea Mountain will further help address their age-old deplorable road conditions and reduce the huge transportation fare for citizens.
A resident of Gedah Town, Miama Kiazolu, pointed out that the rehabilitation of the road has drastically reduced transportation fares.
“We tell God thank you for Bea Mountain for fixing our road. We are no longer experiencing dust compared to the past,” Kiazolu noted.
Another resident, Kennedy Korvah, of Waco Town, also thanked the company for fixing major roads within Grand Cape Mount County.
“I really appreciate the company. First of all the story we got before was that this road used to be very deplorable, and people used to carry loads on their heads from here to Daniel’s Town, but this time around, we have seen massive improvement from Bea Mountain in our communities,” Korvah stated.
Also speaking, a youth of Waco Town, Lawrence Beyan, appreciated BMMC for undertaking meaningful developments in the county. According to him, the rehabilitation of that road has also helped to reduce accident rate, especially motorbike, along the route. He called on citizens of the county to take complete ownership of the road, warning individuals from removing rocks from the road for their personal use.
