The head of the National Traditional Council of Liberia, Chief Zanzan Kawor, says no one fights government and survives because everyone depends on the government for help and support in the country.
Speaking over the weekend at a press conference, the traditional leader said the council is lawfully executing its mandate as it relates to promoting government’s development agenda.
Chief Zanzan Kawor said the act creating the council empowers it to be the advisory arm of government and also carry out government’s messages.
He claimed that Liberia is backward because policy makers ignore laid-down policies in Liberia. According to him, Liberia does not have politicians but self-seeking individuals, which is unfortunate for the country.
The traditional leader stated that the opposition community is yet to support the Traditional Council of Liberia, and that their presence at President George Weah’s petitioning is lawful, and must not be politicized.
He disclosed that policy makers should not ignore the law because it is undermining national growth.
