The Standard Bearer of the Alternative National Congress (ANC), Alexander Benedict Cummings, has appointed the former President of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) and Secretary General of the Publishers Association of Liberia (PAL), James Kiazolu, as the Communication Director in his office.
Kiazolu comes to the position with a wealth of experience and replaces Mulbah K. Yorgbor, who has been elevated to the position of Deputy Chief of Office Staff for Strategic Outreach and Engagement.
In a statement published on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, Cummings said, “We are pleased to announce that as of March 1, 2022, Mr. Mulbah Yorgbor, our current Director of Communications (DoC), has moved to a new position in my office as Deputy Chief of Office Staff (DCOS) for Strategic Outreach and Engagement. In his new DCOS SOE role, Mulbah will lead in engaging strategic stakeholders as well as coordinating organizational support for our activities. We believe Mulbah will do well in this new role as he takes on the challenge of attending law school. We will also be adding other deputies for specific roles, in the near future.
“I am also pleased to announce that Mr. James G. Kiazolu, who many of you in the press know, has joined our team as Director of Communications, replacing Mulbah. James is a Former President of the Press Union of Liberia and a veteran and experienced media professional with over 25 years of journalism and communications experience. James has also served as Assistant Secretary General and Vice President of the PUL, as well as Secretary General of the Publishers Association of Liberia. James brings a wealth of media relationship and knowledge to this position. In his DoC role, James will help implement our overall Media and Communications Plan. I believe James will be a great addition to our team and help us expand our media and communications impact across the country and internationally.
“Let us all wish Mulbah much success in his new role and welcome James to the team.”
