The Management of D’Calabash Restaurant and Hotel has dedicated a modern toilet facility for the Rock of Divine Children’s Orphanage Home in Paynesville, outskirts of Monrovia.
The project, a seven-toilet three-bathroom facility, was estimated to cost more than US$6,000, and under the supervision of the Consultant of D’Calabash, Tim Williams.
Speaking at the dedicatory ceremony over the weekend, the owners of D’Calabash, Lester Kroma and Florence Kroma, expressed deep concern for the need to support the construction of the modern toilet and bathroom facility for the children. According to Kroma, it is crucial to prioritize the welfare of orphanage children in the country.
He noted that the Proprietress of the Rock of Divine Children Orphanage Home, Apostle Fatu K. Smith, has done well to maintain her property over the years as orphanage home for Liberian children who are orphaned in the society.
He underscored that if Apostle Smith was like others she would have sold the property, but she continues to cater to orphanage children despite the economic situation confronting the nation.
Kroma explained that the Rock of Divine Children Orphanage Home needs assistance to take care of the children, and D’Calabash remains committed to support the orphans as well as urging other Liberians and friends of Liberia to support orphanage homes in the country.
He then challenged the children of the Rock of Divine Children Orphanage Home to remain focused on their education in order to become productive citizens in the near future.
According to him, education is critical for their transformation to achieve a good living standard in the society, noting that their preparation, educationally, is key.
Meanwhile, Florence Kroma, who is also the owner of D’Calabash, expressed joy to contribute toward providing the modern toilet facility for the children at the orphanage home.
Kroma said impacting the lives of others has been her passion over the years, and doing it for the orphans, for her, speaks volumes.
She emphasized that D’Calabash remains committed to fostering partnership with the Rock of Divine Children’s Orphanage Home to transform orphans in Liberia.
For her part, the Proprietress of the Rick of Divine Children’s Orphanage Home, Apostle Smith, expressed thanks and appreciation to the management of D’Calabash for undertaking such an initiative for the children at the orphanage.
She said what D’Calabash has done for the orphanage—God will multiple their business across Liberia. She asserted that God will bless the work of their hands, and prayed that all should always be well with them in their endeavors.
