The late Jones Wahdoe Blamo

The Blamo, Kofi, Tarpeh, Seekey, Massaquoi and Waritay families regret to announce the death of Honourable Jones Wahdoe Blamo, Deputy Director for Operation at the National Security Agency (NSA).

This sad event occurred on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 after a brief period of illness.

The body of Honourable Blamo who was commonly called JB is being deposited at the Samuel Stryker Funeral Home in Sinkor pending funeral arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Tenneh Massaquoi Blamo of the United States of America; five children, Lerone S. Blamo, Melvin Blamo of the USA, Alicia Blamo of the USA, Jonell Blamo of the USA and Jones O. Blamo Jr.

The late JB brothers include: Joshua Seekey of the USA, Authur Seekey, Austin Blamo Matthew Seekey, and Ricks Blamo, while his sisters include Mary Seekey, Teta Johnson and Helena Seekey who predeceased him.

JB was a professional security personnel with over thirty (30) years of service and also one of the founding key inspirators who provided the foundation for the establishment of the Congress for Democratic Change.

He is also survived by his aunty, Annie Kumeh of New Kru Town while his mother, Madam Elizabeth Seekey, and father, Jonathan Blamo pre-deceased him.

JB also leaves to mourn six (6) grandchildren and several professional colleagues in the National Security Agency, Liberia National Police, the Executive Protective Service (EPS), the Armed Forces of Liberia, the Liberia Immigration Service and the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (DEA)

The late Jones Blamo is also survived by several uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends in Liberia, the USA, London and Europe.  

The first family meeting will take place on Sunday, June 14 at one o’clock in the afternoon at the Waritay’s residence on AB Tolbert Road in Paynesville, directly opposite JB Dennis’s residence or in the same vicinity of the Women for Hope Hospital.

At the same time, those wishing to sympathize with the family can do so at the residence of Mr. Christian Wlejleh in New Kru Town, adjacent the Trinity Methodist High School, where the family mat is being placed and where the regular family meetings are  taking place.

This announcement goes to the Blamo, Kofi, Tarpeh and Seekey families of Tarsue Township, Sanquin Statutory District in Sinoe County, the Massaquoi, Waritay and Fahnbulleh families of Liberia, Sierra Leone, United States of America, United Kingdom and Europe.

This announcement was brought in by Bernard Abraham Waritay of the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning and Attorney Mohammed Fahnbulleh, brothers-in-law of the deceased, on behalf of the families.
