The Political Leader of the Democratic People’s Party of Liberia (DPPL), Rev. David Kiamu, has condemned the act of secret killing and disappearance of peaceful citizens in Liberia, noting that under a DPPL leadership the menace would be considered a national emergency.

Rev. Kiamu said the DPPL is a pro-life party that believes in protecting the livelihood of the citizenry than destroying it. He made the statement over the weekend during an exclusive interview with the Hot Pepper in Margibi County.

He said his political party considers life as a valuable thing that no men shall touch. According to him, the DPPL is open to working with the people of Liberia in finding a unique solution to the problem.

Kiamu said any power that comes through the sharing of blood is wickedness and shall have no place in the country’s peaceful democracy.

He said if God say yes then power comes, but when there is a no from God then that is the final answer, emphasizing that this is a concept that many people do not understand, mainly politicians.

When questioned about the way forward in solving the problem of secret killing in Liberia, he said Liberia needs robust security measures in addressing the problem.

The DPPL Political Leader said almost every segment of Liberia is appears vulnerable, and that more efforts are needed to protect the society and people of Liberia.

He noted that secret killing has the propensity of undermining the good image of Liberia. He called on Liberians at home and abroad to join hands in tackling the problem.

At the same time, the DPPL Political Leader wants the people of Liberia to get back to the soil in order to address the crisis of rice in the country. According to him, agriculture is a great help to Liberia’s rice issue.

He said when Liberians start to eat what they grow and grow what they eat, the whole issue surrounding the rice crisis will be addressed.
