LIBERIA SEEKS NON-PERMANENT membership in the UN Security Council to contribute to global peace and security, particularly in Africa, and to enhance collaboration between the UN and regional bodies. Specially, Liberia aims to leverage its experience in conflict mediation, prevention and post-conflict reconstruction to address challenges in Africa and the Sahel. Additionally, Liberia seeks to strengthen multilateralism and promote a more inclusive and Representative UN Security Council, particularly reflecting the needs of Africa.
