Finda Bundoo Tells Asset Recovery Team To Take Her To Court If…

–As Mary Broh Threatens AREPT With Lawsuit

An accused person is presumed innocent of a crime before the law until the court of competent jurisdiction convicts him or her; however, the Assets Recovery and Property Retrieval Taskforce (AREPT) has officially written former Chief of Protocol to ex-President George M. Weah, Ambassador Nora Finda Bundoo, that it is in possession of documents/evidences that convicts her of criminal charges without any court’s involvement.

An AREPT communication addressed to Bundoo and Francis Tuain Blamo on April 14, 2025 reads, “Details of the allegations and records in the AREPT’s possession reveal that while serving in the position as Chief Of Protocol at the Executive Mansion, Republic Of Liberia, you affixed your name, signature and identity to corporate documents of Anita Group Of Companies’ Gracious Ride, which is under investigation for the commission of the crimes of theft of property, misapplication of public funds, economic sabotage, and money laundering.”

The Assets Recovery Team was set up by the Government of Liberia (GOL) in 2024 by Executive Order #126 and reactivated by Executive Order #145 this year to trace, identify, and recover stolen and suspicious assets (liquid and fixed) from former and current officials of the Government of Liberia (GOL).
AREPT shut down for nine months, and it just got its legal rights by the Supreme Court to function again as a result of a case, Gracious Ride vs AREPT.

Recently, AREPT said its investigation hooked several individuals as interest and invited them to its head office at the Golden Key Hotel for conference.

The people of interest involved former General Services Agency boss Mary Broh, Former Chief of Protocol Nora Finda Bundoo, and so on.

But according to the team of lawyers from Simpson Consultancy, LLC, Camp Johnson Road, representing Bundoo and Blamo, their clients will not appear before the AREPT for conference; rather, the asset recovery team should take them to court.

“We have been appraised from your letter that AREPT is in possession of alleged incriminating evidence against our clients and invited our clients to the AREPT Head Office at Golden Key Hotel, on Thursday, April 17, 2025 for conference,” the letter addressed to the AREPT Chairman, Cllr. Edwin Kla Martin, reads. “Mr. Chairman, it is our legal opinion that given the fact that AREPT has already concluded that it has incriminating evidence against our clients, we respectfully request that the said evidence be submitted to a court of competent jurisdiction to allow our clients to have their day in court where they will have the opportunity to traverse the said incriminating evidence under the watchful eyes of the law.”

Bundoo’s team of lawyers stated that their court appearance order is not intended to baffle AREPT’s on-going criminal investigation; rather, it is made in good faith for all interested parties, pursuant to article 21 of the Constitution of Liberia and section 2.1, 2.3 and other relevant provisions of the Criminal Procedure Law, to avoid any travesty of justice.

The AREPT letter of conference to Bundoo was signed by John Gbilee, Head of Investigation and Intelligence, and approved by its Chairman Cllr. Edwin Kla Martin. Its allegation of verdict continued, “Allegation further reveals that this corporate entity of which you are a corporate officer used these unlawful means to have acquired several suspicious assets (Suzuki vehicles) with transport service named ‘Gracious Ride’.”

However, not only Bundoo has the AREPT has rendered its verdict, but also former General Service Agency boss, Mary Broh. But in a rage, Broh has threatened lawsuit against the AREPT if its investigation is politically motivated.

Mary Broh, former Director General of the General Service Agency (GSA)

The AREPT summoned Broh to clarify a rice saga that occurred at the General Service Agency when she served as head there. “If the Assets Recovery Team plays with me, I will sue them,” Broh, fuming with anger, said. “I am not going anywhere.”
