The former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gbehzhongar Milton Findley, has filed a divorce action against his wife, Kaddieyatu Daarrah Findley, for impartibility of temper.
The action of divorce is before the Civil Law Court, Sixth Judicial Circuit, Montserrado County, presided over by His Honor, J. Kennedy Peabody, Resident Circuit Judge, during its March 2021 term of sitting.
Meanwhile, the Civil Law Court has issued a writ of summons to Kaddieyatu Findley, in order for her to appear before the court to answer to the complaint of the above-named plaintiff/petitioner, and that upon her failure judgment by default will be entered against her.
Giving the directive to the Sheriff or his/her deputy for Montserrado County, Judge Peabody’s writ noted, “You are hereby commanded to summon the above-named defendant of the city of Monrovia, in the above entitled cause of action to appear before the Civil Law Court, sitting in its March term, A.D. 2021 at the hour of 10:00 o’clock in the morning to answer to the complaint of the above-named plaintiff/petitioner(s), and that upon her failure, judgment by default will be entered against her.
“You are further commanded to notify the said defendants/respondents to file her formal appearance and/or answer in my office on/or before the 23rd day of January, A.D. 2021.
“Meanwhile, you will return the original writ of summons to my office on/or before the 23rd day of January with the official returns endorsed on the back thereof as to the manner and form of its service.” According to the sheriff’s returns, the writ, which was issued on January 13, 2021, was delivered, received and signed for on January 15, 2021 by the defendant, Kaddieyatu Findley.
