information circulating in the mainstream media is that Deputy Speaker Fonati Kofa was the one who sponsored student leader, Anthony Williams, to fight against the Speaker of the House, Dr. Bhofal Chambers, in order to capture the Representative position in Pleebo Sodoken District, Maryland County.
According to an audio, the host of the Spoon Talk Show, Stanton Witherspoon, Henry Pedro Costa, who is another talk show host, has been begging him not to disclose the information.
Speaker Dr. Chambers is the sitting Speaker of the House of Representatives and the sitting lawmaker of the Pleebo Sodoken District, Maryland County.
In the just-ended October 10, 2023 presidential and general elections, where Williams was pronounced the representative-elect of Maryland County’s district #2, several reactions and counter-reactions have been coming from there—that Speaker Chambers was cheated by traditional leaders who had threatened to unseat him, which they described as a traditional conspiracy.
A young lady, Munah Nimely, who is said to be the election supervisor in that district, is also recorded as saying that the traditional leaders threatened that she would have been burned to death if she did not allow the ballot boxes to be stuffed with ballot papers, which she reluctantly consented to do because of fear.
It is said that there have been other revelations of a lady, Chris Walker, who claimed to be a traditional chief who has constantly engaged the media that Speaker Chambers should leave the matter because the zoes have spoken.
Chris Walker took the social and the traditional media that Speaker Chambers should leave it; however, observers believe that the matter is not a traditional issue, thus raising eyebrows that the Speaker could have been cheated and calling for a re-run of the election.
Recently on Spoon Talk, the CEO of Spoon Network, Stanton Witherspoon, also alleged that Deputy Speaker Kofa put Atty. Saifuah-Mai Gray, CEO of the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL), on the phone to beg him not to expose him after he provided information on the President for sanctions.
Meanwhile, Speaker Chambers has filed a formal complaint to the National Elections Commission (NEC) about the alleged foul play and traditional conspiracy orchestrated against him in favor of Williams during the October 10 election.
