Gallah Jegbadai: “I’m That Change-In-Waiting”

The first female representative-aspirant of Sinoe County’s district #3, Gallah Jegbadai, has said that the people of the district have resolved for change, and that she is the change-in-waiting.

Gallah Jegbadai’s statement is in rebuttal of a recent interview held on Voice of Sinoe, USA, in which the host, Darke Saryorpodeh Esoteric, and his guest, Alex Sunnyboy Noah, under-rated women for the position, claiming that the people of the district are not yet ready for a female lawmaker.

According to her, as a female she is politically fit and intellectually prepared for the responsibilities that come with the position. She noted that, as a floor fighter, she is ready to challenge her male counterparts.

Jegbadai expressed dismay in the Voice of Sinoe for moderating a discussion that focuses on denigrating female politicians instead of creating a leveled playing field for the gender, which is exerting all efforts to compete with their counterpart in a male-dominated society. She urged that the platform be used to showcase experience in leadership, as well as point to tangibles done for the county and its people.

She stated, “Even at the international level, politics is all about who you are and what you bring to the discourse as a leader. As an astute female floor-fighter, I believe in collective effort in addressing major issues.”

Commenting on her impact in the district and the county at large, Jegbadai noted that she served as President of the United Sarpo Association in the Americas two times, and that during her leadership lots of development initiatives were carried out in the county, observing that the records are there, which the Voice of Sinoe is aware of.

She entreated the talk show host of Voice of Sinoe to follow the fundamentals of journalism, by being balanced and accurate in disseminating information to the public.

Jegbadai, who is said to be making headways among her colleague contestants ahead of the 2023 general and presidential elections, stated that, if elected come 2023, district #3 will be second to none in terms of development. “I am a results-oriented individual, and your so-called political platform can’t derail me. Victory is set,” she noted.
