In methamphetamine Drug: Culprits Arrested; As Original Air Waybill Carries Stephen Daniels As Consignee, Not Finda Bundoo

Investigation being conducted by the joint security of Liberia has revealed that several persons linked to the importation of the recently arrested methamphetamine drugs at the Roberts International Airport (RIA) have been arrested and undergoing investigation.

At a press briefing on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the Ministry of Information, the Director of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), Marcus Zehyoue, disclosed to the public that, in relation to the investigation, they contacted Kenya Airways, the transporter of the items, to obtain the authentic air waybill of the consignment.

Zehyoue explained that the authentic consignee of the illicit drug is Stephen Daniels, who has been arrested and undergoing investigation. Also, he said, the Chief of Security of the Roberts International Airport (RIA), Samuel Freeman, has been suspended and turned over for questioning. “Another security operative, Hinneh Kollie, is also undergoing investigation in relations to the drug saga,” he said.

He mentioned that they have been informed that Kenya Airways has also suspended some individuals with link to the importation of drugs into the country.

As it relates to higher-ups of the CDC administration being involved with the importation of the illegal consignment, Director Zehyoue said there were misleading allegations that the Chief of Protocol of the Executive Mansion, Nora Finda Bundoo, was the consignee of the drugs, reiterating that the information is untrue, and that Finda Bundoo has absolutely no connection to the importation.
