Speaking over the weekend at the second national convention of the Association of Liberia Human Resource Professionals, held in Ganta City, Nimba County, the Minister of Labor, Cllr. Charles H. Gibson, told members and officials of the ALHRP to provide an identification card for all registered human resource professionals operating in the country.
Cllr. Gibson used the occasion to encourage all human resource practitioners in Liberia to register with the ALHRP as a mother body of HR recognized by the Government of Liberia (GOL). The group was given thirty days after the effectiveness of said regulation to adopt and promulgate such rules or code of ethics for all HR professionals to carry out their duties.
In 2021, the Ministry of Labor recognized the importance of human resource professionals as a key nation-building factor for development, job creation, organization effectiveness, among others, and as well supported the implementation of the Decent Work Bill through this ALHRP medium.
The ALHRP is a national body of human resource professionals in Liberia. It seeks the wellbeing of each employee in the private sector and public sector of Liberia.
The just-ended national convention was well attended by its members from both the private and public sectors.
