LIS New Administration Holds First Muster With Leeward County Officers

The new administration of the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS), headed by Atty. Stephen Zargo, has conducted its first muster for leeward countycommanders, borders commanders and regional counties commanders.

  The more than two-hour interactive muster was held among LIS leeward county officers and the four Commissioner Generals of the LIS on April 2, 2024 at the headquarters of the entity in Mamba Point, Monrovia.

  The purpose of the just-ended LIS leeward counties muster was meant for an acquaintance with regional counties’ commanders, borders counties commander and county commanders with the new LIS administration.

  During the muster, LIS leeward counties’ commanders were given the opportunity to express their views and challenges they are confronted with.

  The LIS new administration, headed by Atty. Stephen Zargo and his deputies, observed that they envision a LIS spirited, upbeat to efficiently and effectively provide a wholesome leadership consistent with LIS mandate and international best practices, at the same time contributingimmensely to the revenue generation of Liberia.

  The new LIS administration has embarked on major appointments and reshuffle of the various positions within its ranks.

  Accordingly, the appointments and reshuffle of the new administration are not meant to go after anyone but to rebrand the institution.

  Each of the LIS Deputy Commissioner Generals spoke lengthily with the various leeward county commanders of LIS.

  The muster ended happily among LIS leeward countycommanders, borders commanders, regional countycommanders and the new administration of the institution.
