The Chief Investigator for General Crimes Service Session, Liberia National Police (LNP), Monroe A. Dennis, has completed two intensive trainings in countering international terrorism at a police research center in Egypt.
Speaking with the Hot Pepper yesterday, October 26, 2021, Investigator Dennis said he benefitted from a number of courses at the training, including building entrance, raid, operation shooting from primary and secondary weapons, hostage rescue, shooting from cover position, defensive tactics, shooting from moving vehicle, background of conflict and resolution, terrorism in line with UN protocols and resolution, terrorist crime scene visitation, simulation exercise relative to terrorist attacks, personal security and intelligences gathering.
Dennis has meanwhile expressed thanks and appreciation to the LNP, and especially to the Crimes Service Session Department, for affording him the opportunity to acquire such knowledge, which will be shared with his professional colleagues.
He also added that the training brought together over 45 participants from all over the world, describing the training as wonderful.
Dennis pointed out that the fight against terrorism cannot be one institution’s business; instead, it requires cooperation and coordination.
He further said that he has come with a new mindset—to ensure that the right things are done, in line with the education and experience he gained from the training.
