Over the weekend the Acting Chairperson of the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA), Abdullah L. Kamara, toured the construction project of the LTA headquarters in Schieffelin, just opposite the EBK Military Barracks, and expressed satisfaction with the progress achieved so far.
The three-storey building features conference rooms on each level, with offices connected by spacious hallways that converge in a bright central area by an oval ceiling.
Speaking to the Hot Pepper during his tour, Acting Chairperson Kamara said, “Soon to be the hub for telecommunications in Liberia, our new headquarters is an indication of what’s possible when vision meets action. Just a few months into construction, the progress has been inspiring.
“Standing on site this weekend. I saw more than just walls going up—I saw the future taking shape to benefit generations and provide a center for innovation where Liberia’s digital journey not only takes flight but stands shoulder to shoulder with the best the world has to offer!”
Since the ascendency of Kamara as Acting LTA Chairperson, the entity has been making significant progress behind the scenes.
A senior contractor at the construction site who preferred anonymity told the Hot Pepper that he was pleased with the way the LTA’s headquarters project is currently progressing, noting that the effort by the LTA Acting Chairperson shows that he has a strong understanding of good governance and transparency.
“The LTA project will surely be delivered on time due to the support and supply of materials, as well as cash payment for the contractors,” the contractor reassured.
