The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC) has welcomed its newly appointed Managing Director, Mohammed Ali, who recently embarked on a tour of the entity’s major facilities; Cynthia Quinisier reports.
Speaking on Thursday, February 15, 2024 during an engagement and dialogue with workers of the institution, Mo Ali expressed his appreciation for their effort while also setting forth his vision for the future of LWSC.
The LWSC boss said the importance of being diligent and committed to their work is to bring honor and success to the institution. He highlighted the significance of using resources, such as chemicals for water purification, for their intended purpose rather than engaging in unauthorized activities like selling them.
According to him, if the resources intended to effectively purify water and distribute it to households are proper used, LWSC would be able to achieve its goals and serve the community better.
In a bid to motivate and reward hard work among the employees, Ali announced his intention to introduce a bonus system. He made it clear that the system would be implemented based on the employee’s contributions towards facilitating work and improving efficiency within LWSC. Ali underscored that a happy workforce would lead to increased productivity and ultimately more revenue generation for the entity.
He urged the employees to strive for efficiency in their task, emphasizing that their individual success was intertwined with the success of LWSC as a whole. “With a focus on integrity, efficiency and employee satisfaction, leadership at LWSC signals a new era of accountability and progress within the organization,” he stated.
