The Senator of Margibi County, Jim Tornonlah, has been honored by a youth organization, Liberia Youth Initiative (LYI), for his numerous contributions to the growth and development of Liberia.
The certificate of honor to Senator Tornonlah will be presented on behalf of the young people by the President of the youth organization, Gabriel K. Wisner, on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
Wisner said the honor is intended to appreciate Senator Tornonlah for his cordial working relationship with the people of Liberia, the transformation he has carried out in Margibi County and the Senate and the unity he has brought among members of the Margibi County Legislative Caucus.
LYI President said the young people of the country have followed Senator Tornonlah’s activities over the years, and affirm that he deserves to be honored by them.
According to him, Senator Tornonlah has made numerous contributions to the state, including the provision of scholarships to the less fortune. He noted that Lomax is a dedicated person who has brought light to the society by enabling the youth to acquire free education through scholarship.
LYI’s President said a survey conducted by their organization revealed that hundreds of students are currently benefiting from Senator Tornonlah’s scholarships nationwide, which is helping immensely to reduce the illiteracy in the country.
LYI is a youth organization helping to develop thousands of young people around the country to meet their full potential.
