MIND Expresses Support For Cassell Kuoh’s LFA Presidency

The Operational Leadership of the Movement with Integrity for National Development (MIND), under consensus mandate of its board of directors, executives, and members, says they are delighted to give their unabated support to Cassell Anthony Kuoh in his bid for the presidency of the Liberia Football Association (LFA). They stated, amongst other things, that the CEO and president of FC Kallon Liberia is a businessman of diverse investments across the country.

According to a MIND release issued over the weekend, “Mr. Kuoh, having served as Vice President for Operations of the LFA, is a proven sports developer with demonstrated commitment to youth development in sports, exhibiting this through the management of FC Fassell, which has provided jobs to many young Liberians across the country. Not only has he shown capacity for leadership of the LFA by promoting males, but consistent with his belief in gender parity he has similarly invested in female sports, giving opportunity to many young females who would have otherwise become vulnerable to mischievous life styles and become unproductive in society.”

According to the release, “Besides being a businessman, Mr. Kuoh is a humanitarian who has helped the less-fortunate and women groups in different capacity building training programs. MIND has consistently followed Mr. Kuoh over the years and observed him to be one who has been reaching out to many less fortunate and disadvantaged in society, extending food aid and scholarships to the needy.”

The group underscored, “On this occasion of his vying for the presidency of Liberia’s principal football governing body, LFA, we stand with him without equivocation because we believe that his ability to take the Sports Association to new heights of modernization, workers welfare and decentralization of the operations of the institution is undoubted.

“During our interactions with many persons within the Association to determine what constitutes urgent needs of the organization, it was learnt that institutional advancement, players, coaches and staffs’ welfare were trending interest of the Association.

“Accordingly, we sought from Mr. Kuoh his stand on these concerns and were informed that his plan for diversification, modernization and welfare of the different actors of the Association remains uncompromising. Further indicating his commitment to the forward march of the institution, Mr. Kuoh has assured that, while he acknowledged the progress yet made in the postwar history of the Association, he is aware that much needs to be done, and under his stewardship the LFA will endeavor to model itself in ways that are consistent with universally acceptable standards. He has further given guarantee that his plan for modernization inculcates a plan for improving the various tournaments and leagues supervised by the Association, stressing commitment to players and coaches insurance as a way of getting the best from these pivotal actors in the arena of football.

“In regards of these, MIND publicly espouses support for Mr. Kuoh’s bid for the presidency and urges all and sundry to unequivocally stand by this expert sports developer as we envision, on the foundation of the current works in football, humanitarianism, etc., a better LFA that puts institutional, players and coaches welfare above the comfort of the presidency.

“Conclusively, we opine that, for a better leadership of the LFA, members of the executive committee must be realistic to trust Mr Cassel Anthony Kuoh with the presidency at the Liberia Football Association (LFA). He is the current CEO and president of many sports and non-sports investments in the country with a history of proven service to Liberians across different sectors.”
