Acting Public Works Minister, Ruth Cocker Collins, has pledged her unflinching support for road connectivity, in line with President George M. Weah’s Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD).
Speaking to newsmen yesterday at her Public Works office, Minister Collins indicated that she and her competent lieutenants are working out the necessary modalities for the smooth implementation of several road networks during the dry season.
Minister Collins named some of the road projects as the road leading from the Johnson Street Bridge, Bushrod Island, straight to St. Paul Bridge and the Mombo Town Road, connecting Duala.
She said the Bushrod Island roads are being considered by a Japanese construction company for implementation, adding that parts of Caldwell road, which are in deplorable condition, will also be rehabilitated.
Meanwhile, Minister Collins explained that, in order to achieve her objective, she has established a cordial and smooth working relationship with the staffers of the ministry.
In a related development, Acting Minister Collins commended President George M. Weah for prioritizing the construction of roads during his administration.
